Daring Dodgeball helps students raise loads of cash
Three days of Ultimate Dodgeball at The Radclyffe School gave students an energetic way to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The students in Years 7, 8 and 9 sought sponsors ahead of the events. Separate events for Year 7 Girls, Year 8 Girls and a combined Years 7 to 9 Boys and Year 9 Girls matches took place.
The biggest winner was the British Heart Foundation. The combined sponsorship raised £568 for the charity. British Heart Foundation is the UK’s leading heart charity, funding research to combat heart disease. Their research has helped to transform the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions.
Teacher of PE Miss Parkinson said, “All the competitions were great fun, played in a really good spirit. The students did an excellent job finding people to sponsor them, and we are proud to be able to support such a fantastic charity.”
