Students inspired by degree show

Enthusing artists with University achievement

A visit to the degree show for Art and Design students at Manchester Metropolitan University is inspiring GCSE Art students from The Radclyffe School.

The group travelled to the University to see the fantastic work of final year undergraduates studying in Manchester. The exciting visit will help the students to develop ideas for their own coursework and also inspire them with the career possibilities available in Art.

The University’s degree show this year is marking the 175th anniversary of the Manchester School of Art. The shows cover work by students who have studied courses as diverse as interior design, textiles, Fine Art, Photography and Graphic Design.

Art teacher Katie Green said, “The visit was a fantastic experience for our students, to see the quality of work achieved at university level. Bringing our students to events like this should stimulate their ideas to achieve the best they can.”
