The Radclyffe School has been awarded Artsmark GOLD.
There has been an ICT competition this half term for year 9, 10 and 11s called Doodle 4 Google.
Paul Broadbent visited The Radclyffe School this half term as part of the Sky Sports ‘Living for Sport Initiative’.
Two Hip Hop Shakespeare Workshops led by Mercury Music Award nominee Ty were held this half term.
A team of Year 7 students took part in Quad Kids, an athletics event against other schools in Oldham on the The Radclyffe School track.
On Saturday 28th April – Sunday 29th April, nine year 11 students (Anam Ibrar, Yukhshee Tariq, Sannah Azeem, Mandy Neaknejad, Rosie Hamid, Tom Carr, Ryan Da Silva, Alex Davison and Jahangir Alam Khan) braved the elements to complete their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award practice expedition.
The Radclyffe School Wheelchair Basketball team took part in the IZB National Finals this half term.
The Radclyffe School has been holding a school singing competition based on ‘The Voice’.
This half term a Creative Partnership project between, PE. Dance and Music has been conducted in conjunction with creative enterprise Spearfish.
This half term in the run up to the Senior Leadership Team elections, the Year 10 senior prefects took part in a leadership and teamwork activity day at Castleshaw.
The Year 7 Whole School TIGA students participated in a two day residential trip to PGL at Winmarleigh Hall in Preston.
Mrs Isabelle Dailly, head teacher at the Stendhal secondary school in Toulouse, France, stayed with us for a whole week as part of an excellence visit arranged by Mrs Jones (Head of MFL).
All Year 7 Students took part in an Olympic Cross Curricular day on the last day of last term.
Year 9 student Thomas Burgess has been selected for the English Lacrosse National Squads Under 15 Academy.
The Student of the Year Awards are prestigious awards that are open to elite nominations for the highest calibre of students contributing not just in school but also within the Oldham community as well.
Due to their outstanding progress in mathematics throughout their time at The Radclyffe School, top set Year 10s were entered a year early into their GCSE maths exam.
This year’s SLT election has taken place this half term, and after weeks of campaigns, a school-wide vote and interviews with head teacher Mr Hayer, and deputy head teachers Mrs Webb and Mrs Wernick, the ‘Head’ posts have been allocated.
Oldham was at the forefront of political debate as BBC TV show “Question Time” came to town on Thursday 10th May.
The Radclyffe School hosts one of three days of the Oldham Borough Ability Roadshow.
In the new Raising Girls Achievement initiative ‘GEMS’, a group of students are helping to raise the standards in mathematics for girls in year 10.
As part of ’It’s Good to Talk’ day Students at The Radclyffe School wrote, presented and produced their very own news show on 15th March 2012.
The success of The Radclyffe Schools’ Year 9 and 10 football teams in an Oldham Schools B Team Tournament during the Easter half term.
