Talented chefs cook for Rotary Club reward
Fifteen young chefs competed at The Radclyffe School in the local heat of the Rotary Club Young Chef competition.
The students were from seven schools across Greater Manchester and beyond, with each invited by individual Rotary Clubs. Radclyffe School students Zak Robinson, Tamanna Haque and Anam Javed competed on behalf of Chadderton & Failsworth Rotary Club, and the Crompton & Royton club.
The young chefs prepared a three course meal for two people, in just two hours and with a budget of no more than £15. They were judged on the quality of the meal, planning, healthy choices, taste, skills and presentation.
At the end of the evening, three students progressed to the District final. There are further rounds leading to a National Final in Leicester in April.
While the students were busy cooking, the Radclyffe School Vocal Group entertained guests from the Rotary Club and from the competing schools.
