Track and field fun for primary pupils
Pupils from ten primary schools around Chadderton came to the athletics track at The Radclyffe School to compete in the annual Co-operative Trust Games.
The children tested their abilities in a broad range of track and field events, including sprints, high jump, long jump and relay races. There were also be some more unusual fun events including welly tossing, coit throwing and speed bounce.
Each of the ten primary school teams chose a country they will represent. At the start of the Games all the competitors paraded with their countries’ flags, and banners made by The Radclyffe School students.
Pupils were presented with medals in each of the individual events, and the top three teams were presented with trophies. Many congratulations to all competitors and to the eventual winners, Mills Hill Primary School
