Snakes and Spiders support learning at The Radclyffe School

Students get to meet the beasts

The opportunity to handle snakes, lizards, spiders and other creatures gave students a real ‘hands on’ experience at The Radclyffe School.

The Gifted and Talented students took part in an enrichment lesson led by Dr Stuart Wood of Meet The Beasts.

Amongst the visitors was Geoff the Boa Constrictor, as well as tarantulas, leopard geckos and millipedes.

Mr Mike Cunliffe of the Humanities faculty said, “The visit allowed students to get really close to the animals, teaching them about being confident and overcoming their fears. It was also a great way to learn about the natural world.”
