School sharing best practice

Excellent Arts on display at conference

Amazing artwork mixed with superb performances at The Radclyffe School this week as the school showed off our best practice as an Outstanding school.

The display was a centrepiece of a special conference, Excellence in the Arts, held at the school sharing good practice with teachers from Oldham and other boroughs. Students stayed behind to take part as teaching staff demonstrated their abilities.

Delegates saw for themselves how arts provision contributed to The Radclyffe School last year achieving an Outstanding Ofsted judgement. The event introduced how Art, Drama, Music and Dance are taught, with sample 25-minute ‘live lessons’ illustrating how lessons progress.

Nina Goddard, Head of Girl’s PE said, “It was a pleasure share what we do with teachers from so many other schools. Our students were outstanding themselves in greeting visitors and taking part in the lessons to share our best practice in a practical, visual way.”
