Maths magic test primary pupils’ talents
Primary pupils from three Oldham primary schools tested their maths skills during a visit to The Radclyffe School.
The youngsters, from Yew Tree, Bare Trees and Freehold primary schools, got to be codebreakers for the day, working out secret words through numbers, then testing themselves with plenty of different number challenges.
The event was organised to support the pupils through the primary maths national curriculum, helping the children with fluency, problem solving and reasoning.
There were also chances to win prizes, with several students leaving with brand new calculators, which will help them in their Maths both at primary and as they move on to secondary school.
