Macbeth challenge for drama students

Shakespeare Schools Festival 2012

Drama students from The Radclyffe School are treading the boards of a professional theatre this week as they take part in the national Shakespeare Schools Festival.

The students will present a half-hour performance of Macbeth at the Contact Theatre in Manchester. They are joining with twenty-two other primary and secondary schools from across Greater Manchester, presenting many of the Bard’s best-known works.

Drama Teacher Francis Collins-Walsh said, “Taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival is a wonderful opportunity for our students to perform at a professional theatre. All the students put their heart and soul into the performance and I’m certain they will really enjoy the experience.”
