World Champion inline skater shares her skills
World Inline skating champion Jenna Downing visited The Radclyffe School on Wednesday (15 May) to share her skills and experience with students.
Ten-time British Champion and 2008 World Champion, Jenna came along to the school as part of the Sky Sports Living for Sport programme, which brings champion ambassadors from varied sports into schools to mentor and inspire students to reach their goals and achieve the very best they can.
Jenna worked with students from Year 7 and Year 9. As well as demonstrating her own skills, Jenna took the opportunity to coach the students in inline skating.
Teacher of PE Tony Ventre said, “We’re really pleased to welcome Jenna to the Radclyffe School. Meeting champions and learning from them is an excellent way to motivate our students to do their best.”
“Being involved with the Living for Sport programme is helping so many of our students to set their goals high and go on to achieve them.”
