Angels take (balloon-assisted) flight at The Radclyffe School

Colourful balloon spectacle over Chadderton

Hundreds of flying angels will take to the air in Chadderton tomorrow (12 July). Attached to helium-filled balloons, the balloon race with a difference will transport the angels across Greater Manchester and beyond.

Anyone finding the angels is being asked to visit the school website and click on the “Found one of our Angels?” link and let the school know where they were found.

Teacher of Art Claire O’Rourke said, “The students have created the angels in extra-curricular enrichment lessons. Each is a small representation of the student. The angels’ flights will be recorded and mapped to be used in lessons. Creating the angels also improved the students’ skills in using design software.”
