After three months of consultation the Governing Body of The Radclyffe School has decided, from 1st May 2010, to become a Foundation school supported by a charitable Trust called The Radclyffe Co-operative Learning Trust.
The decision was taken as the Governing Body believe the experience and expertise from our partners in the Trust will strengthen strategic leadership and support The Radclyffe School in raising standards and promoting community cohesion.
The partners in the Trust will be: The Radclyffe School Governing Body; The Co-operative Movement (initially represented by the Co-operative College); Oldham Athletic AFC; Oldham Primary Care Trust; Oldham Sixth Form College;
Oldham Local Authority and University Campus Oldham. The Trust will also have a stakeholder forum comprised of Parents, Staff, Learners and Community Organisations and it will be able to appoint 3 trustees to the Trust.
The Trust will be able to appoint 2 of its trustees to The Radclyffe School Governing Body. This is a very exciting development for the school and we will keep you informed of our progress.
