The Radclyffe School Virtual Teaching and Learning Environment (VTLE), one of the most well-resourced in the country leads the provision of high quality support and advice to curriculum leaders in the use of ICT to enhance teaching and learning and supports the development of Personalised Learning for our students.
The VTLE Team’s aim is to be at the forefront of technology and innovation and through the use of ICT helps our students to achieve their personal excellence in everything that they do.
A Virtual Teaching and Learning Environment (VTLE) is set of browser based teaching and learning tools and resources designed to enhance your child’s personalised learning experience. It facilitates on-line interaction between your child, their teachers and other learning support staff. The Radclyffe School VTLE (FrogLearn) provides tools for content delivery, communication, assessment, collaborative study and student management.
The VTLE makes the use of web technologies to improve quality in learning by facilitating access to resources and services as well as remote exchanges and peer collaboration. Each student at The Radclyffe School is given a username and password which they use to access the VTLE so activity and achievement can be tracked and monitored. Students have the option to select learning materials that meets their level of knowledge, interest, and individual learning styles, giving them a truly personalised experience.
The VTLE is The Radclyffe School’s Virtual Teaching and Learning platform. It allows teachers and learning support staff to create fun and engaging online learning resources that complement traditional teaching practices within our school. You can think the VTLE as being a little like an intranet as it is the first place students and teachers go at the start of each day. The VTLE is a safe and secure learning space where students have controlled access to the curriculum. Students can create and share ideas with others and collaborate on projects with study buddies.
The VTLE opens up communication between your child, their teachers and other peer-groups who provide direct feedback and support to your child. Students are able to work in a self-paced environment with the benefits of flexibility, convenience and ease of accessibility.
Using the VTLE your child can take their teaching and learning wherever they go, anytime, anywhere, building a sense of group identity and a community of interest along the way.
