Accessibility

The Radclyffe School is committed to meeting the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act. We are continually making improvements to meet these guidelines so that our online services are accessible to those with special needs.

Our web site has been designed to follow the accessibility guidelines issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in mind:-

  • The pages are designed so that they can be viewed at a screen resolution of 800 x 600 pixels
  • A site map is available to provide information about the layout of the web site and to ensure that visitors will have no trouble navigating.
  • Page structure is conveyed using header elements.
  • A style sheet is used on our web site and relative font sizes on all text with the exception of graphical text
  • No user frames
  • Text can be increased or decreased in size
  • The use of ALT attribute in the image tag has been used to provide a way to include a short text description of each image. This allows blind users and/or text-only browsers to get the same information as someone who can see the image.
  • Colour combinations have been used to improve the readability of the pages
  • Links to the Adobe Acrobat Access reader for PDF Adobe Acrobat files
